Atom Football players must be 8 to 10 years of age. Atom Football is parent run and is part of the Calgary & Area Atom Football League.
Atom is 10-player football, with coaches on the field. The games are played on half the field and teams alternate running 5 plays. If they do not score a touchdown, the ball is turned over to the other team for their 5 plays, and so on. Generally, there are about 15 plays for each team in a half, which take about 45 minutes, games are usually 1.5 to 2 hours.
Atom is a fun and safe way to learn about full contact football and prepares the players to move up to PeeWee.
